Jesus I thank you thank You that You love me,
Despite all of my sin,
You shed Your blood and it poured out,
To cleanse me from within,
And as You died in agony upon cruel Calvary’s tree,
You did not think about Yourself, but to save humanity.
And oh the pain You must have felt,
Not only from the nails,
But in bearing the sin of all mankind,
Which has it’s root in hell,
I’ll never really comprehend the magnitude of this,
My finite mind is far too small, often my knowledge amiss.
My understanding is darkened,
I only see in part,
But I bless You Jesus for Your Spirit,
Who lets me see your heart.
