What does it mean to worship You
What does it mean to worship You,
What do we have to do?
Do we clean up our act,
Or form a new pact,
And leave our old ways for new?
What does it mean to worship You,
Do we hide ourselves away?
Take up vows of silence,
While inflicting self violence,
To show penance to a god by our bruise?
What does it mean to worship You,
How much is a sacrifice?
Do we give of our time,
Not the dregs but the prime,
And brag that we are totally used?
What does it mean to worship You,
Surely it’s to do as You do,
By our love and forgiveness,
We will live as your witness,
And praise You for making us new!

He Was Born To This World
He was born to this world,
On the first Christmas day,
Came down above the heavens,
And with man He would stay,
Leaving His splendour,
Leaving His throne,
For 33 years,
Earth would be His home.
From the womb of a sinner,
Yet sinless was He,
This innocent little babe,
Would the God-Man be,
And in this unique morning,
Before there came any harm,
He was worshipped by wise men,
From his mother’s arms’.
This gift so precious,
This gift of grace,
Witnessed by shepherds,
When they beheld His face,
As they looked upon such majesty,
Yet just a little baby boy,
They spread the word throughout the land,
Good tidings of great joy.
.
Now turned a man, and wholly God,
And willing to draw near,
Built a road never walked before,
But made this new way clear,
He came down to meet us,
He took the first step,
Offered us a relationship,
By freeing us from sins’ debt,
The love He has to reconcile,
Is still as strong today,
It has not faltered over time,
Or diminished in any way,
It’s free to all no matter who,
This is His gift to us,
This babe once born in a stable,
Is the present of Christmas.
